Review: Hell Baby is a horror comedy from the creators of Reno 911! and stars an absolutely stellar ensemble cast of comedians (including Rob Corddry, Leslie Bibb, Kumail Nanjiani, Keegan Michael Key, and several members of Reno's finest police department among many others). A heavily pregnant wife and her husband move into their newly purchased fixer-upper only to find out that it's, shockingly, haunted by an evil spirit. The wife gets possessed and gives birth to a, you guessed it: hell baby. Bloody hijinks follow. While it's no Shaun of the Dead or Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, Hell Baby is a decently effective horror comedy. The gags are pretty juvenile and absurdist (example: hot potato tossing the hell baby and accidentally tossing its twin, normal baby into the mix), so set your expectation for the comedic aspect to an appropriately low brow. But really, it's a pretty stupid movie, but it still managed to get a few chuckles out of me. The horror element is really just a reason to amp up the absurdist element of the comedy, so don't expect any scares or sudden, dramatic twists. It's a stupid, simple movie--but sometimes those are fun. P.S.: if you're squeamish about nudity--or if that’s a selling point for you (no shame)--there's a pretty notable full-frontal scene with Riki Lindhome of Garfunkel and Oats fame. Again, no shame, but be mindful of the company you watch the film with. But, who am I kidding: you're probably not gonna watch a movie called Hell Baby (without your drinking buddies).

Overall Score: 3 out of 5 Chads juggling babies. Did Hell Baby scare you? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
