Review: It centers on a group of ghost hunters who are actually charlatans scamming their ghost-believing marks, except that one of the hunters actually does have psychic abilities (maybe), but their mark also has a spooky scary twist in store for them. Malevolent tries to walk a path carved by the more well-known The Last Exorcism, but the generally dull, forgettable characters, flaccid acting, and a ham-fisted plot make this one fall flat. You won't hate it, but I doubt you'll remember it.

Absentia -- Mike Flanagan's First Foray into Horror
