Creep (2004)

Subgenre: Creature Feature

SeriesSpooktober 2020 entry #3; review #65

Review: This entry is eclipsed by another horror film that came out a decade later by the same name, and understandably so: Creep (2014) is a damn fine horror movie, but Creep (2004) still has a forgotten charm about it largely due to its setting: the London Underground. The film's main dame finds herself trapped in the subway system and hunted by something nefarious living in their abandoned, chthonic halls. If you've seen "The Descent," "The Hills Have Eyes," or "Wrong Turn," you've already seen this movie...but, that doesn't mean it's not fun in its own right. There's enough gore, spooky twists, and hints at a deeper story to keep most horror fans entertained, even if it's not particularly original. Turn it on the atmospheric underground setting; stay for the creep.
