Review: The Other Lamb follows our main dame as she slowly begins to question the teachings of the all-female cult she was born into. If you have even a passing familiarity with cults, you might assume--rightly so--that the "all-female" qualifier isn't quite accurate: the cults leader is a Jesus-looking dude unsurprisingly named "Shephard." While realistic, and a major feature of the film, I was a bit excited by the prospect of an ALL-female cult. Anyway, the cinematography is stunning and, while a bit slow, the film's pacing doesn't feel like a slog. That said, while billed as a drama-horror, the horror elements are almost entirely subdued; it's horrific by virtue of idea rather than overtly evoking fear, dread, or disgust. The film is a feminist deconstruction of predatory faith (among other things), though many of the characters end up being merely shallow archetypes with little to add beyond their role in the parable. As far as culty folk horror movies go, it's no Midsommar, but it does weave a tale that's worth watching in spite of some of its flaws.

Overall Score: 3 out of 5 Chads working through cult deprograming. Did The Other Lamb scare you? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
